Amount in dispute in China’s arbitration cases reaches 1.44 trillion yuan in 2025

The sum in dispute for arbitration cases nationwide hit 1.4393 trillion yuan ($214.6 billion) in 2025, a year-on-year rise of 18.7%. This marks the third straight year the figure has topped 1 trillion yuan, according to a report released Thursday by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) in Beijing.
