Morning update Good morning Middle East Eye readers, Here are the latest developments: A report by the Pentagon’s inspector general on the impact of the US war 0n Iran found that munitions used during the four-month campaign caused "strategic inventory shortfalls" and "revealed industrial base bottlenecks for munitions resupply". Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it intercepted and destroyed an advanced MQ-1 drone over the Strait of Hormuz. The Tasnim news agency cited the IRGC as saying that the aircraft was targeted on Monday by the country's advanced air defence system. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said US President Donald Trump was sending "mixed" signals. "The stakes around oil and the straits have changed. Damage control won’t stop what’s coming. No talks until Iran’s conditions are met. Period!" he added in a post on X. Saudi-led coalition air strikes in Yemen's south western Taiz province killed three people, including two children, the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported. Two others were wounded in the attacks.
