Gulf shipping traffic via Hormuz stays below 10-day average, data shows

SINGAPORE: Four commodity vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, down from nine a day earlier and well below the 10-day average of around 15, preliminary shipping data showed on Friday. The vessels included two medium-range tankers, one Kamsarmax carrier and one Handysize vessel, Kpler data showed as of 0455 GMT. The number of vessels transiting the waterway could change as some ships typically switch off transponders during the voyage.
