Back-to-School in France: Mobile Phone Ban in High Schools Comes into Effect
Around 11.6 million pupils return to French primary, middle, and high schools on Tuesday, September 1, coinciding with the entry into force of the mobile phone ban in high schools. In July, the country's parliament passed a two-part law, one banning children under fifteen from accessing social media, and the other banning mobile phone use in high schools. France had already banned mobile phone use by children in middle schools, attended by students aged 11 to 15, as well as in primary schools.
