Nepal and China Floods: Over 1,000 Dead and Thousands Missing

Nepal's Disaster Management Authority announced on Tuesday that devastating floods last Wednesday in the Himalayas resulted in the deaths of at least 987 people in Nepal. This brings the provisional death toll to 1,003, after adding 16 deaths recorded in China, while the total number of missing persons reached approximately 4,462, including 3,916 in Nepal alone.
