KARACHI: Muhammad Yahya Polani, Chairman of Polani Group and a prominent figure in Pakistan’s tour and travel industry, passed away in the early hours of Monday. The funeral prayer was offered at Memon Masjid Shaheed e Millat Road and was attended by a large number of the business community, civil society representatives, city elders, political leaders, representatives of various trade, industrial, social welfare and charitable organisations. The deceased was laid to rest at the Tariq Road graveyard later in the day. Soyum and Dua will be held Memon Masjid Shaheed e Millat Road on Tuesday September 1, 2026. Following the death of his father, Haji Siddiq Polani, a renowned social figure of the Memon community, Yahya Polani continued to actively participate in various welfare activities in the city. He was widely known as a popular, warm-hearted and cheerful personality. The business community has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Yahya Polani.
