Sánchez Denies Moroccan Responsibility for Migrant Influx into Ceuta, Accuses Russia and Israel of Disinformation

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated on Monday that Moroccan authorities bore no responsibility for the sudden influx of migrants into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta a month ago, pledging an additional €168 million in aid to cope with the economic repercussions of the crisis. Sánchez accused the far right and networks linked to Israel and Russia of spreading disinformation. Meanwhile, Italy announced an extension of the suspension of the Schengen agreement with Spain "due to the continuation of factors" that prompted this "extraordinary" measure.
