Iraq: 7-Year Prison Sentences for Former MP and Senior Oil Official on Charges of "Illicit Enrichment"

Judicial rulings in Iraq sentenced former MP Talal Al-Zobaie and former Ministry of Oil official Ali Maaraj Al-Bahadli to seven years in prison each, in addition to requiring them to return large sums of money and pay matching fines, in two cases related to illicit enrichment and unjustified wealth inflation.
